Boola Dash

Boola Dash is a 2D arcade-style game developed in Unity in which players control a character navigating a fast-paced environment while collecting points and avoiding obstacles. The project was created by a multidisciplinary team of artists, musicians, and programmers, with an emphasis on delivering a polished and cohesive gameplay experience for the Yale University Alumni Fund to be shared to graduated classes of Yale University. The game features animated sprite-based characters, multiple music tracks, a scoring system, and an interactive user interface that allows players to manage settings such as audio levels and pausing gameplay.

As Project Lead and Programmer, I coordinated the development process by assigning weekly tasks, organizing progress check-ins, and ensuring that milestones and deliverables were met throughout the project timeline. I implemented core gameplay systems including player movement, the scoring system, and menu functionality using C# in Unity. I also integrated sprite sheet animations for the player character, incorporated background and gameplay art assets, and developed the user interface and menu interactions for features such as pausing the game and adjusting volume levels. Additionally, I implemented the game’s music management system to handle multiple audio tracks and ensure smooth transitions during gameplay.
